Beginning the early 1990's, Walsin Lihwa pursued aggressive overseas expansions that have set up more than 10 production and sales operations in Mainland China and Malaysia, in addition to Taiwan. In particular, there are copper, fiber optic, optical fiber, power cable, and special steel manufacturing sites in the densely populated and prosperous areas along the Long River and in Taiwan, as well as sales networks in many continents to provide readily available access to Walsin Lihwa products around the world.

Taipei Head Office
The head office was relocated from downtown Taipei to the city's Neihu District in December 2004. Walsin Lihwa's management team and administration staffs are based at the head office, responsible for administration, finance, important material procurement, information system, investment, and strategy planning.
Located in Hsin Chuang City, Taipei County, this is where Walsin Lihwa was first established in December 1966. This plant now manufactures low, medium, and high-voltage PVC cables, copper communication cables, fiber optics, power cable insulation materials, and other plastics. Materials provided by Walsin Lihwa's Yang Shui plant are also processed into stainless steel bars here. The annual capacity is approx. 16,000 tons.
It was established in 1987 in Yang Mei Town, Taoyuan County as Walsin Lihwa's bare copper wire manufacturing site, which supplies high quality 8-centimeter SCR copper wires, 2.6-centimer bare copper hard wires as well as soft wares. The annual capacity includes bare copper bars of 180,000 tons and bare copper wires of 60,000 tons.
Set up in 1993 in Yen Shui, Tainan County, this plant provides comprehensive stainless steel operations encompassing steelmaking, steel rolling, and steel finishing, manufacturing steel billets steel slabs, hot rolled round bars, peeling bar, and wire rods. The annual capacity includes stainless billet of approx. 350,000 tons, wire rods of 140,000 tons, and round bars of 12,000 tons, with the world's highest output of stainless steel bar products.
Hangzhou Walsin Power Cable & Wire Co., Ltd. was established by Walsin Lihwa in conjunction with Sumitomo Electric and Jejiang Power Supply Company in January 1995 in Hangzhou Economic and Technological Development Area, manufacturing high- and medium-voltage cables and related products with annual capacity of various cables, wires, and power cable accessories equivalent to 8,000 tons of copper.
